We’re excited to report that active planning is underway for RYLA 2022 – after a two-year hiatus, District 5110 will hold an in-person camp, June 18-23, 2022 (Saturday-Thursday). We’ll be returning to Grove Camp, Dorena, Oregon, with our professional partners from True North Consulting at the helm,

RYLA is a unique, valuable scholarship program designed to inspire and develop young leaders –  it’s often described as “life-changing” by participants. Rotary clubs sponsor young women and men who want to learn and grow their service leadership skills in the company of other highly motivated students. We’ll host high school sophomores AND juniors, including qualified students who participated in our eRYLA in 2021. Cost per camper sponsorship is $600; invoices will be sent to Rotary clubs in the near future. We encourage clubs to send payment as soon as possible; payments will secure your campers their places at RYLA.

We’re in the process of updating RYLA information and documents, including application and registration materials for campers. As you’re aware, we’ve had unusual challenges the past two years that have required changes and accommodations. Participant health and safety are our highest priorities, and we will follow the “best practice” advice to protect campers for conditions in late June.

So we can keep Rotarians up to date, it’s important that we have current, correct information about club RYLA contacts. Please reach out to RYLA Chair Mary Hoskins directly by phone (541-531-8538) or email (marhos1968@gmail.com) with questions or updates to your club information. We thank you for your patience, and for your enduring support of young leaders.
