If the District website looks different to you, that is because it’s new!

The District Governors approved the redesign of its website and the work was accomplished over the summer.  There were three goals, says Judy Corwin, Public Image Chair who took on the redesign project with the Public Image Committee.  “The first goal was to update the technology. In addition, the website has outward and inward facing sections to build public awareness for Rotary and keep clubs and Rotarians informed,” explained Corwin.

The new website uses an updated version of WordPress in a Divi theme as its content management system.  It also includes a DACdb plugin, which helps to populate the website directly from DACdb.  The homepage has an external message from the District Governor, as well as a 5110 in Action eNews section, calendar, and DG Corner.  The upper navigation bar has been slightly reorganized to follow the three Essential Elements of Rotary, as well as district programs.  A special feature under “About Us” is a complete Club Directory with meeting details about each club in our district, along with a dynamic Google map showing the location of each club. Resources and District Committees are included in their respective sections.

“The District eNews, now called 5110 in Action eNews, will be interactive and driven through the website,” added Corwin.  For questions and updates, please see the Contact Us page on the website.
