Time to celebrate the addition of a new Rotary Club in District 5110. On April 19, 2022, the Rotary Club of Monroe (Oregon) received congratulations and certification documents from Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta. President Shekhar wrote a letter to the club stating: “Chartering a new club is exciting and challenging. The key to success is building a strong, engaged membership dedicated to the idea of service, ranging from local community-based projects to major global initiatives. Together, we will accomplish great things to serve local and international communities as we Serve to Change Lives.”

We offer our wholehearted congratulations to Club President Vesna Grace Hopkins for her leadership and initiative in forming a Rotary presence in Monroe. We also acknowledge and thank President-Elect Farrell Lamar Hopkins, Secretary Jaya Conser Lapham, Treasurer Rachell Hoffman, Membership Chair Paula Leslie, and Rotary Foundation Chair Rayna Waltz for stepping up to the plate with their service to the club board.

The Rotary Club of Monroe meets at noon on Saturday, twice a month, at “Sip & Taste” 160 S 99W – on the main road through town. Rotarians in District 5110 are invited to attend a meeting and support the efforts of our newest club as they make an impact in their local community with Rotary Service.
