The Mothers and Children’s Medical Clinic, did two medical camps during our visit and tested community people for the malaria virus for free. Over 200 received treatment and testing, mosquito nets were distributed for free and malaria prevention classes were conducted. An electric centrifuge malaria testing machine was also bought for the clinic.
They also attended the African Epilepsy Conference in Entebbe inviting the officials of the conference to attend the inaugural event for our Epilepsy treatment program at the clinic.
The incinerator pictured here designed to dispose of hazardous clinic used materials was constructed from funding from both the Eugene First United Methodist church and the Metropolitan Club.
