Julia Rivera was a teenager when she became an orphan. She had to drop out of school and got to work in order to take care of her younger siblings. She worked hard and became the mother and father they needed.
When her own daughter was born she knew that education was the key to a better life. She made sure that Yazmín had the opportunities she didn’t.
Please join us for the remarkable story of a girl from Santiago who overcame every obstacle. That hardworking dedicated girl is now an engineer and a Rotarian. Yazmín Donaire has been visiting the Rotary Club of Eugene Metropolitan in order to improve her English – yet another goal she has set for herself.
On Tuesday, February 16th at 6 pm PST Yazmín will be sharing her story in her second language and we couldn’t be more proud of everything she has accomplished.
Join us to be inspired by her success and let her remind us of everything we’re capable of as Rotarians and as people of action.
