Cindi O’Neil, District Governor Nominee

Cindi joined Rotary in 2002 after participating in the annual Tree of Joy Rotary project as a volunteer.
She is a past President 2007-08, past Assistant Governor, current Annual Fund Chair and now President
of the Rotary Club of Bend. She is excited to apply her personal vocational skills and knowledge of
Rotary to help lead District 5110 in 2020-21.
Her passion began with International Service and the Rotary Foundation. The excellence of these
programs fills her with great pride in Rotary’s accomplishments worldwide. Cindi has participated in five
International Service Projects including the Zuni Indian Reservation: Wheel Chair Ramps, San Andreas
Milpillas, MX: Bridge Project, Los Barriles Baja MX: Alberge Rehab Project, Los Barriles, Baja MX:
Diabetes and Vision Screening Project, and the Ethiopian Neural Tube Defect Prevention Project.
Cindi and her husband Mike are both Rotarians and have participated in many local community service
projects including parks construction, literacy projects, youth mentoring, Group Study Exchange hosts,
and have served as a Youth Exchange host family.
Her careers span involvement in ecological conservation, forest leadership and management, financial
asset management, and high performance home building. Currently she is the co-owner and Vice
President of SolAire Homebuilders, working to transform the custom home market into the areas of net
zero energy homes. She is married, has three grown children and two grandchildren. Living in Bend she
and her husband Mike enjoy, backpacking, hunting, fly fishing, hiking, and cross country skiing.
