Greetings from the officers and members of the
Rotary Club of Scott Valley (Fort Jones/Etna) California

(Fort Jones, CA, State of Jefferson, USA).

Chartered on February 9th 1988, we are a small club, less than 30 Rotarians, working with youth, helping our community and playing an active part in International and World Community Service. Please take some time to visit our web site, learn more about us and perhaps join us sometime for fellowship and service to our community. We are in Rotary District 5110

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:
FIRST. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
SECOND. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;
FOURTH. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

If you live or work in Scott Valley and are interested in learning more about Rotary and/or becoming a member of our club, please contact us. We would be pleased to talk to you about Rotary and how you, too, may become a member of this International Service Organization .
Once again, welcome and we hope you'll join us sometime for breakfast.

We are dedicated to fulfilling the Object of Rotary

Etna City Flag Pole Project

Thursday, Oct 1 we lowered the flag pole in preperation for repainting. Quite a crowd gathered around town to watch as Darcy Engle climbed the pole to set the rigging for Ross Smith's (Scott River Pump) crane.

On Sat 10/3 we stripped, sanded and painted two coats of primer.
It was re-erected, with a lot people holding their breath, on October 22, 2009

Dedication to former Rotarian & Survivor of the Bataan Death March, Buddy Buchner and all Scott Valley Veterans was after the Veterans Day Parade.
