PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Welcome to the Medford
Rotary Club Web Page! We are very proud to be the original Rotary Club
in Southern Oregon, founded in 1923. Come visit with our Rotarians-
Network with business and professional community leaders engaged in
making a difference. We encourage those interested to join us for lunch
on Tuesdays at the Rogue Valley Country Club. To attend or if you

Our goals for
2008-2009 include:
- Continuing our
significant involvement with the youth of our area through –
- Our major
scholarship program
- The Rotary Relays
sports event for High Schools
- Easter Seals “Day
Camp” scholarships
- Junior Achievement
– providing real world business skills to kids in classrooms
Kids Spree – supporting the effort to provide kids in need suitable
clothing
Additionally, to
continue our long-term service commitment and support for projects
such as -
- Participation in
development of the 132 acre “US Cellular Sports & Community Park”
- Salvation Army
“Bell Ringers” at Christmas
- Rotary First
Harvest – helping provide food to those in need
Increase membership and
fundraising support for Rotary International, including such projects as
–
- Support of “Polio
Plus” – Total eradication of Polio
- Establishment of a
school Library in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa
- Provide a needed
“Laser cautery scapel” for the Oncology Unit of the Regional
Hospital of Kamchatka, Russia
Rotary is a “Global
Network of Community Volunteers” and remains the pre-eminent service
club promoting community and International projects. Promoting high
ethical standards, helping to make our communities better, to promote
good will and peace, lessen hunger, provide clean drinking water, combat
diseases such as Polio . . . and many other worthwhile projects simply
designed to make our world a better place. Join us . . . be a
Rotarian “Activist” in service to our community and others while
enjoying fellowship and business networking with professionals.
