What is a Million Dollar Dinner?

In honor of the Centennial year of The Rotary Foundation, District 5110 is hosting a special evening to recognize this year’s new Major Donors and celebrate our Foundation “doing good in the world”.  The District’s Foundation Endowment Team has been connecting with Rotarians who wish to create a personal legacy and make a significant gift of cash or bequest to The Rotary Foundation this year.    Donors who make an outright gift of $10,000 or create a bequest of $25,000 or more from their estate will be recognized during the evening.

How to reserve a seat?

Reservations will be open in March 2017 – seating is limited.

What is the Rotary Foundation?

Arch Klumph, RI President 1916-17, appreciated that Rotary clubs had limited resources and could not support all the projects and programs on their own that needed to be addressed by the world’s first service organization.  He proposed an endowment for the purpose of “doing good in the world” and 100 years later $3B dollars have been donated to the programs of the Foundation.

Entertainment

The musical sounds of New Orleans will be recreated for us by “Gratitude”, a Corvallis based jazz group that performs a wide variety of jazz styles; Dixieland, gospel, swing, modern, funk, and Latin.  Rotarian Steve Matthes, playing the clarinet and saxophone, will be joined by Winston McCullough on piano, John Edwards on bass, and Andy Weiss on drums.  Your feet won’t want to miss it!
